Oxidized starch is a free-flowing white powder with a yellowish tint and no odor. It is easily soluble in water, slightly soluble in calcium solution, and resistant to alcohol-based environments.
Oxidized starch is used in the following applications:
- in the production of drywall;
- in the paper industry, it is used to glue paper and cardboard, increasing their strength;
- in the textile industry, it is used to smooth the base, reducing thread breakage and improving quality.
